Who we are
This website is operated by LikeHomeFlorence S.r.l., Borgo dei Greci 10, 50122 Firenze, Italy (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: info@likehomeflorence.com.
What data we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, travel dates, number of guests, preferred apartment, subject and message.
- Email and WhatsApp: the details you send us when you contact us directly.
- Bookings: when you book, we receive the details needed to manage your stay, such as your name, contact details, dates and guests.
- Guest registration: Italian law requires us to register guests with the police (Questura) and to apply the Florence tourist tax. For this we collect identity document details of each guest at check-in.
- Website use: technical data such as IP address, browser and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar tools. See our Cookie Policy.
Why we use your data and the legal basis
- To answer your questions and send you availability and offers you request (steps before a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To manage your booking and stay (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To meet legal obligations, including guest registration, tourist tax and tax records (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- To keep the website secure and working (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To measure website use and for marketing, using analytics and advertising cookies (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, where required).
Bookings through our booking engine
Online bookings are made through our booking engine provided by Kross Booking. Payment details are entered directly in the booking engine and are not stored on this website.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only as needed with service providers who work on our behalf, including our website host, booking engine (Kross Booking), email and messaging services, and analytics and advertising providers (Google Analytics, Hotjar, Meta). We also share data with public authorities when required by law. We do not sell your personal data.
Transfers outside the EU
Some providers, such as Google, Meta and Hotjar, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your data
We keep inquiry data only as long as needed to answer you and follow up on your request. Booking and accounting records are kept for the periods required by Italian tax and civil law. Guest registration data is handled as required by Italian law.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. To exercise your rights, email info@likehomeflorence.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
